Basic Life Support with O2 and In Water Rescue Skills
A group of researchers and scuba divers at Newcastle University enquired about Basic Life Support Training with Oxygen Administration.
They were about to embark upon a 5 year coral research project around the pacific islands of Palau.
We don’t just deliver off the shelf courses; we adapt and proactively create solutions for our clients so developed the course to include a refresher on in-water rescue skills.
We’re also firm believers in working collaboratively, so we teamed up with the awesome Fifth Point Diving Centre in Blyth to make this happen.

Sport First Aid in an Outdoor Context
A senior consultant from the RVI Hospital in Newcastle got in touch about his specific First Aid training needs. As a newly qualified exercise coach in his spare time, he needed a fully regulated Sport First Aid qualification.
It would need to give him the skills and confidence to look after people in both a sporting context and also the great outdoors. The course combined classroom based theory and practical work along with real life scenarios in the outdoors.
This provided interesting challenges, even for such an experienced medical doctor. Uneven ground and environmental factors alone meant there was a lot more to think about than just how to put theory into practice.
