ITC ADVANCED FIRST AID

ITC Advanced First Aid (24 HRS)

This ITC Advanced First Aid course is a four day course and is used by those who need to go beyond standard level First Aid, who may have access to more advanced medical equipment and resources. Typical learners include those who work offshore in the oil and gas or wind industries, security operatives, industrial first aiders and is useful for anyone who needs to be able to look after casualties for extended periods of time, in potentially challenging conditions.

This qualification is similar to the other pre-hospital care qualifications we offer, but it also covers traction splints, pelvic splints, cervical collars, and the administration of medical gases - Oxygen and Entonox, without needing to complete a separate qualification. This qualification meets many level D competency descriptors on The Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh Faculty of Pre-hospital Care (FPHC) Pre-hospital Emergency Medicine (PHEM) framework and is delivered in line with our Clinical Governance Policy.
