It's great news; there is now a much bigger emphasis on supporting people and employees with their mental health and wellbeing as well as their physical health. Mental ill health is responsible for 91 million working days lost every year and costs UK employers an estimated £34.9 billion each year - the equivalent of £1,300 for every employee in the UK workforce. Employers across the UK are taking action to support the wellbeing of their people and nurture mentally healthy workplaces. Do you want to join them?
Level 3 Mental Health at Work (RQF)
This is a two day Mental Health at Work qualification that sits on the regulated qualifications framework (RQF). Certificates are awarded via Qualifications Network, an Awarding Organisation regulated by Ofqual. This means the training is subject to internal and external verification procedures to ensure the highest possible standards are maintained at all times.
The main aim of the course is to boost practical skills and confidence to have what may be deemed as difficult conversations. Too often, people feel daunted about supporting someone struggling with their mental health, and worry about saying the 'wrong thing'. Compared to other Mental Health First Aid courses out there, our course has a greater emphasis on practical skills to help someone who is struggling or in a crisis, rather than simply building knowledge. It also aims to raise awareness and reduce stigma, as well as teach people to spot the symptoms of mental health issues and guide a person towards further support.
