Mental Health Training
Our one day First Aid for Mental Health course has been specifically designed by us to empower people to help others struggling with their mental health. The main aim of the course is to boost practical skills and confidence to have what may be deemed as difficult conversations.
Too often, people feel daunted about these conversations and worry about saying the 'wrong thing'. Compared to other Mental Health First Aid courses out there, our course has a greater emphasis on practical skills from the outset to help someone who is struggling or in a crisis, rather than simply building knowledge. It also aims to reduce stigma, teach people to spot the symptoms of mental health issues and guide a person towards further support.
Our course is delivered in a relaxed manner, with everyone gaining a certificate of attendance from Life Saving Training and there are no formal or intimidating assessments to complete. We've moved away from running regulated qualifications in this subject that are often information heavy and involve formal assessments, which can be off putting for many and counter productive.
